32oz. howler purchased on 1/9/16 and consumed on 1/17/16. Pours a burnt orange hue with a loose, sudsy, off-white head and a turbid clarity. Nose expresses candied citrus and earthy notes. Taste consistent with nose - candied citrus, spice, earthy rind and a hint of mint. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with a mild, even carbonation and a trace of oiliness. There's also a slight residual burn at the back of the throat between quaffs. Overall, a solid DIPA with a fair amount of complexity and dank. Great beer from a brewery known for it's saisons.

On tap at Mystic. Poured a dark orange hue. Cloudy. Mild head. Aroma is very hoppy with some dankness. Smells to me like Mosaic hops. Definitely some sweet hoppiness and enough malt to provide some backing. Flavor has a bunch of juicy, tropical hoppy flavors. Plentiful amounts of citrus. Slight caramel or sugary maltiness, too. Some spicier hops and some dank hoppiness. Finishes with a drier, tangy citrus hop flavor. Creamy bodied. Noticeable bitterness and some alcohol burn on the back. Well built flavor and I love the name and backstory. A tasty brew; great job. Will purchase when bottled.

Pours clear, orange-brown in color with 1/2 inch head. Taste is citrus, orange, grapefruit rind, with light toasted malt and breadiness. This one is bitter but not aggressively so. Interesting IPA that stands out from those I have tried lately. I would get this again.
