Pours a huge fluffy head, fades slowly, thick lacing, streaming bubbles, semi clear honey color
Noise big sweet malt, candy caramel toffee honey, fruity notes, caramel sugar but light, touch yeast and doughy wheat
Taste some malts, toasted reddish malt, little toffee, caramel, creamy doughy wheat, little honey, fruity apple pear esters, fair bitter spicy earthy hop, yeasty bready, light vegetal herbal notes too, phenolic booze notes, drier bitter finish, little alcohol
Mouth is med bod seems thin for what it is, lighter carb, little warming alcohol
Overall not too great, bit of a letdown., but drinkable mostly

From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. Sampled on July 31, 2016.
The pour is medium amber-brown with a quick lasting off-white head. Some lacing.
The aroma has a cracker-like toastiness to it which is not what I expect in a Barleywine. Vague fruitiness. I need some pungent barley malts, dark fruit, and booze and this has none of that.
Medium body for the most part,.
Same toasted cracker flavor as the aroma with basically no alcohol (and some might think that is good) with a smooth enough finish. I was hoping for something with more bite. I really do not like to pan beer because I appreciate everything everyone brews but this just didn't hit the mark for me.
