Expected more from this, especially at $22/4pk. A real stretch to call this hazy and juicy like a big NEIPA, flavor is fine but malty and not enough soft fruit for me.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass canned on 10/26/18. Pours a beautiful hazy orange yellow with a massive 2 finger head that leaves big wavy rings of lace.

Smell is papaya, tangerine, pineapple, and some grapefruit rind.

Taste follows tangerine and papaya explode out the gate, with pineapple and grapefruit hitting you on the back end very nicely balanced.

Mouthfeel is a big medium, soft sticky mouthfeel, a touch dry from the crazy amount of dry hopping, and at 8.8% goes down very easy.

Overall they are doing some great things, should check this one out if given the chance.

While this beer doesn't have quite the look and smell of it, the closest comparison I can make to the taste of this beer (which I hate to do), is that reminds me of Toppling Goliath's King Sue. This is a juice bomb and is easily the best beer of any type I have had in months and should be sitting in the top 100, no top 50, no, right next to King Sue. Well done Mystic!! Awesome! Can't wait to try more of your IPAs!

First beer from Mystic in a while, and I was impressed with the flavor in this one. Incredibly juicy, with strong notes of mango and papaya, with a smoothie-esque mouthfeel. The big issue I have with this beer is there were some serious floaters in lurking in this haziness, made it look pretty unappetizing. Thankfully, it did not affect taste or feel.

Poured from a 16 oz. can.
Canned 1/12/18.
Label: 8.8% abv.
Moderate pour yields a 3/4 inch off white head over a cloudy, murky body with some lacing. Nose of tropical fruit. Taste of tropical fruit that falls off a cliff into bitterness on the finish. Smooth? Not! Feel of particulate with very little proper IPA carbonation. Overall, yet another murky cloud bomb that I am not a fan of...Cheers to you juice heads? I've said this time and time again, these beers are giving proper IPAs a bad name. Sue me...

Pours hazy orange yellow in color with minimal head. Taste is big apricot and peach. Slightly bitter, medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Makes for a nice neipa.

Drank on tap at Mystic Brewery, Chelsea, MA
Served in a tulip

Outstanding, milkshake-like appearance. The completely opaque, pale straw yellow body was topped by a super tight and creamy, two-finger tall, white crown that fell to a thick, lasting collar. Fantastic lacing. A streaky wall coated the glass and lasted past the drink’s end.

Terrific aroma. Big overripe tropical fruit notes. Guava, papaya and mango were apparent. Strong melon notes as well. Cantaloupe came to mind. Somewhat dank and weed-like. Peachy too. As the beer sat, the tropical fruits subsided and citrus notes took over. Loads of juicy orange flesh. Touch of mango. Fair amount of sweetness.

The flavor profile was also really hoppy and impressive. Nice mix of citrus and tropical fruits. Big, juicy orange and tangerine notes. Some mango too. Orange peel appeared as the beer moved along the palate. There was a sweet, honey-like note in the center. Pineapple was also noticeable. More pithy orange rind on the back end and in the finish. Just a hint of bitterness.

Outstanding mouthfeel. Fuller bodied for the style. Super creamy and slick. The liquid contained a fine, frothy effervescence that turned pillowy soft on the palate.

Mystic Brewery has always experimented with interesting, adjunct-infused beers, and now it seems they are making a name for themselves with their New England style IPAs too. Danger! Danger! is an amazingly juicy and dangerously crushable take on the style. I have to make a point to visit their brewery more often to grab their limited release offerings.

Look: Opaque murky orange with a medium cream colored head. No activity.

Smell: Intense and pungent fruit hops. Notes of guava, papaya, and peach. No malt. Light alcohol.

Taste: Juicy fruit forward hops on the attack. Reminiscent of taking a sip from a peach and mango milkshake. This lingers as a body of prickly grassy hops and a raw honey malt move forward on the palate. Then it all fades out with a long quenching note of papaya and mango.

Feel: Resinous and smooth. Medium plus body. Light plus bitterness. Soft carbonation. Finish is long and quenching.

Overall: An excellent New England style IPA. It’s soft. It’s juicy. The high alcohol content is hidden very well. Top notch for the style.

If you told me I was drinking Julius or Haze I would believe you. This is an outstanding NEIPA with a melon-like quality that reminds me quite a bit of Treehouse. Smooth, soft-like mouth feel with awesome tropical fruit notes and nose. Awesome, awesome NEIPA that is currently flying under the neckbeard radar.

This beer is WICKED good. Normally I tell people that TH wrecked beer for me as I really don't want to drink anything else. But, it's 56 miles away so yes, I do drink other beers. Saw an alert on Twitter about this and thought I shoot over the 5 miles to pick some up. OMG, this is the closest thing to TH brew this side of Charlton! Clearly an equal in my mouth! It's awesome! Pours a hazy golden-orange with citrus aroma bursting from it. The grapefruit taste is there but not toooo strong, a slight end of swallow bitterness, but's very mild, it's there' but very mild where most TH beers are a soft cush mouth. The flavors linger niecely after you swallow... I like it a lot. Softer than the bitter WCIPAs, different than TH or TRillium, it's really great on it's own. BRAVO Mystic Brewery, nice job.

A: So hazy even the stream while pouring was opaque! Pale, golden peachy hue. Huge fluffy offwhite head. Lots of lacing. nice! As far as appearance in NE style IPAs this is top notch

S: Mango, fresh cut melon etc. Doesn't even smell like beer. Nice tangy fruit acidity

T: Amazing. Incredibly fruit forward. Like drinking a boozy tropical punch. Nice bitterness on the finish. There is some residual sweetness but the dryness helps round it out. Slight maltyness...touch of honey?

F: Creamy

O: Top Notch.

Pours a cloudy deep orange color with a very well retained one inch white head that left some lacing. Smells of tropical fruits, honey and some sweet malts. Tastes of peaches, mango, pineapple, orange, honey, sweet malts and a hint of pine. Medium bodied, creamy mouth feel, lightly carbonated, minimal bitterness and a medium dry finish.

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.

Pours a hazy amber orange color with 2 fingers of frothy white head. The head has excellent retention, leaving a few splotches of lace as it settles into an effervescent film.

The aroma brings strong notes of honeydew melon, pineapple, and fresh berries followed by a wave of cantoulope and candied orange. The sweeter fruit notes are backed by a pleasant graham cracker malt and the absolute foggiest hint of pine needles.

The flavor follows suit with a barrage of melon and pineapple, as well as some honey and caramel. The finish is dry and rindy, like biting into an orange peel. Bitterness is very low, but this one is still quite balanced.

The feel is medium-full bodied with soft carbonation. Creamy, smooth, and soft as a pillow. Finishes quite dry. The alcohol is almost non-existent.

Overall, a great DIPA that brings a ton of flavor and balance despite its lower bitterness. Don't sleep on this brewery.
