Kevin with the hook up once again, thanks!
A- The tall can drops an incredibly cloudy yellow brew into my chalice. A thick and creamy white cap ascends up to a finger high with good retention before dying out to a sheet atop the brew.
S- Citra to the limits. This particular crop brings on a mix of tropical juices, citrus and floral notes. Mango nectar really bursts out of the glass joined by bubble gum, cotton candy, peach, tangerine and apricot; a lot of tropical/stone fruit feel here. Soft.
T- The heavily juicy aroma shifts a bit as the citrus and bitter elements of Citra begin to pop here. Lime and oranges join in with the zesty grapefruit, mango, peach, apricot, tangerine, pine, bubble gum, earthy and pineapple hop notes. A light bit of pale base barley and cereal grains but 90% hops.
MF- Creamy texture to the medium body. Puffy and frothy feels promoted by a very high level of carbonation. Clean citrus bitterness in the ending.
A soft juicy aroma of stone fruits and tropical fruits leads into a more rounded Citra profile in the taste consisting of pineapple, lime, mango and tangerines, amongst other things. Seems like every brewery is pumping out great IPAs nowadays, it is becoming increasingly harder to shift the scale to judge them.
