This galactic 8.3% DIPA displays bright aromas of papaya, assorted berries, and lime zest, while the palate is drenched with loads of melon and undertones of peppery citrus notes. Garys In Space was brewed with Loral and then generously dry-hopped with Loral, Ekuanot, and Simcoe, creating such a super soft and hazy beer it feels like zero gravity....

From a 16oz can, dated 11/23/18. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a milky-cloudy orange-gold with two-and-a-half fingers of fluffy white suds. Retention is very good, leaving big-bubbled gobs of lacing.
A dank, fruity nose of peach, bread roll and bhang water. Not super-intense but very enticing.
Taste actually follows the nose pretty precisely, peach, yeast and weed. Sounds simple but it's the most satisfying flavour profile I've experienced in a Mystic beer to date. Low sweetness, moderate bitterness, and a very slightly harsh hop-oily burn that just makes me beg for more.
Feel is juicy, oily, medium bodied, brightly carbonated with tingly hop oils clinging to my tongue like barnacles.
Overall, well colour me impressed. I haven't always (ever) been the biggest Mystic fanboy but this one knocked me over and had its way with me. I don't know where they came up with 'papaya, berries, lime, melons, yada, yada, yada' because it was all peaches and bhang water to me but, fortunately, I didn't read the commercial description until after I drank the beer.
