Aliens is hopped with Amarillo and then triple dry-hopped with Mosaic and Citra lupulin. The aroma is pure melon and flavors burst with peach, mandarin and mango.

Poured from a can picked up at the release, into the test glass
A - Hazy orange zest backdrop, a thin white cap is coaxed out with a solid pour.
S - Apricot, orange peel and alcohol, ripe peach .
T - Tropics from the aromatics, and a wonderful malt thread.
M - Big on the palate, semi sweet start and then a combined bitter/tropics wave move through. The finish and linger are both semi sweet
O - A big IIIPA, loaded with fruity hops, and surprisingly hidden alcohol. a sipper and worth seeking out

From a 16oz can, dated 03/25/19. Served in a tulip.
Pours like a glass of pineapple juice, thick and opaque. Not much of a head, maybe half a finger, which fades away before I really get much of a look at it but leaves a soft, creamy collar. It looks ominous, like a fruity cocktail that the bartender was busy talking to someone else while he was pouring the booze in.
Not much of a nose here - I thought I caught a whiff of grain alcohol when I cracked the can but now it’s mostly reminiscent of, like, candle wax, like an old scented candle that you can’t tell what the scent was supposed to be - probably something fruity, maybe even with vanilla.
Taste is... oh, my, taste is good. There’s a dense maltiness with multiple, mildly sweet layers of sticky fruits, pineapple juice, mango, peach, melon, strawberry and a little squeeze of lime near the end. Vanishingly low bitterness, doughy, fruity and floral, with a very light boozy afterbite.
Feel is smooth and juicy-doughy, with a fairly hefty body but plenty of carbonation to lighten it up and keep it drinkable. In general, I’d rate the feel at 4.5 or even 4.25 but, considering this is a triple, the drinkability is extraordinary so I’ve recklessly bumped it up to 4.75.
Overall, nice. Good stuff. Remarkably clean and easy drinking for a beer of this heft. I’m not usually an aficionado of the big IPA’s much over 8.5% but this is probably one of the top one or two best executed ‘triples’ I’ve ever tried and I’ve rated the Overall accordingly.
Edited to add: There’s a LOT of lupulin powder precipitate at the bottom of the can - recommend upending the can a few times and maybe some gentle agitation before opening to get some of it back into solution!
