Sweet malt, caramel, and biscuit dough with a little hop presence. Best on draft. This is what we served at our wedding, a real crowd pleaser. Good anytime, all the time!

LOOK: Pours a red amber with a tan head. Head retention is not very good. Side glass lace is minimal at best.
AROMA: Sweet malts of bread and some caramel comes through.
TASTE: Pick up the same. The sweet and caramel breaded malts dominate.
A bit too sweet for my likeing.

From a tap at Dreamland BBQ, Huntsville AL, served in a styrofoam cup, so could not see through the beer
Appearance - Beautiful, thick, fluffy, fine-foamy, tan-colored head that stayed intact for many minutes, almost looked like a cappuccino from the top, the bobbles were so fine - 4.5
Smell - Fresh, bready, malty, inviting - 4.5
Taste - Malty, toasty, full, with just enough hopiness to be balanced, slightly sweet, not astringent, smooth. Almost the perfect example of this style, leaning toward a regular lager - 4.5
Mouthfeel - Smooth and creamy, got a little bit of fluffy head with each sip, no corbonation burn - 4.5
Drinkability - Just the right amount of carbonation (not too fizzy), low hopiness, dangerously drinkable! Flavor did not get more sour as I got to the bottom of the cup, good to the last drop! Reminded me of beer I had at the Kreuzberg Monastery in Germany, incredibly tasty and drinkable. I rated it 4.5 just in case there might be something better out there - 4.5

From a can. Reddish amber color with white head. Roasted malt smell. Light feel. Roasted malt and nutty flavors with a touch of hops on the finish. Pretty good for the style.

Clear red gold color with light color cap.
Clean aroma that's mostly malty with a hint of something darkish and sweet like cherry cola.
Nice low key flowing malt rich flavor that offers a hint of roasted malt without any bitterness or roast malt elements like coffee. Just a smooth darkness linked to the malt richness.
Medium texture with balancing carbonation.
A good hit but not a home run, it's decent and enjoyable but not memorable.
