Is a golden yellow color with pink and orange in the center. Starts a small white foam head that recedes and stays around the edge of the glass. Smells a little like a red wine, very earthy and a little fruity. Taste is sweet at first with a finish that reminds of red wine. You can taste some fruit, as the beer is aged with cherries in the barrel. Mouthfeel is bubbly and smooth, sort of clean and acidic. It was not quite what I expected, but I don't have much experience with tripel. It was a little bitter at first, but after the first few sips, I really enjoyed this beer. The smell is so complex, as is the taste - hard to describe but delicious.

BA red wine barrel aged poured into a snifter it has a slight pink orange body with a quarter inch white foam head. Smell of grape, citrus, earth, some slight spice, some medicinal, and stone fruit. Taste is apricot, plum, belgian yeast esters, red wine, spice, and some earth. Mouth feel is moderate as well as body and high carbonation. A great red wine tripel, it is a little bit lighter than I expected, but very complex and tasty.
