A: pours a clear, reddish copper color with a thin, soapy white head (large bubbles)
S: Immediate oak and funk, along with a vinous character that seems simultaneously suggestive of both dark and light grapes, there is a bourbon-esque woodiness to the whole affair as well
T: incredibly sour, incredibly tannic and oaky right off the bat, some jammy undertones and some heavily whisky-like boozy undertones, the tartness is almost too much here, and the peppery-quality present in this beer, when married with said tartness is off-putting, this seems reminiscent of some allagash beers I've had, only not as well executed
M: bone dry
O: there's potential here, so I hope they keep their barrel program up, and their sour program up, and work on this. good effort
