Double Midnight has a very thick, beige head and a dark, red-brown appearance, with minimal lacing. The aroma is of brown bread crust, char, and cocoa. It has a similar flavor, with lots of sweetness, low bitterness, and a vanilla note. Double Midnight has a high-medium body and a semi-sweet finish.

This is an interesting beer. Designated an imperial swartzbier, comes off almost like a pastry stout. Poured from a can purchased at the brewery. Poured into a jelly jar. Dark brown color with a thick creamy, foamy beige head and nice lacing. Smell and taste like milk chocolate fudge. Vanilla and a bit of coffee. Maybe a bit too sweet. Would have like a bit more bitterness. Nice beer for Christmas Day!

Dark and heavy, creamy flavor make a good beer for layering up to watch the snow fall off your front porch through the long winter

Poured from 32oz crowler obtained at the brewery.
A; Pitch black with smallish one finger tan head. Fairly short retention and zero lacing.
S; Charred oak and light smoke combined with a subtle sweetness.
T; Roasted malts that reads like charred wood with hints of smoke. Lightly sweet with molasses.
M; Medium body with light to average carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden.
O; Easy drinking and enjoyable beer.

I tried this beer at the brewery of the nitro tap. It poured a nearly opaque dark with creamy head that left some lace. The scent had char and roast grain hints. The taste was creamy smooth with roast grain and corn husk. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth nitro carbonation. Overall its a beer worth trying.
