Had this beer on tap at the 1892 East Restaurant and Tavern in the Historic Five Points area of Huntsville, AL. This is a stronger, darker, maltier and murkier version of the Yellowhammer Altbier. Not necessarily better than their Altbier, but definitely different.
The UberAlt poured a very dark murky brown with a small one finger of tan head that left a moderate amount of lacing. Very low carbonation that made the beer easy to swallow. A slightly nutty flavor with plenty of maltiness. There was a medium mouthfeel with no aftertaste. This beer really lives up to its name as an UberAlt.
