Poured from 22oz bomber into a goblet.
A: Pours lemon yellow with a rather small head that dissipated almost immediately. Little or no lacing.
S: Belgian yeast, peppery spice, citrus, and some earthiness. Some of the grapes from the barrel coming through. Smells a bit like a wine.
T: All of the flavors you would expect it a nice Saison mixed with a bit of oak tones and Chardonnay grapes. A nice spicy finish.
M: Light and refreshing. Crisp and a bit dry. Maybe a bit light on the carbonation but this bottle had aged a bit...
O: Very nice. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Looking forward to many other creations from the Yellowhammer folks!

a - poured a one finger thick eggshell-colored head into a tulip glass that left good lacing throughout. the body was a bubbly and crystal clear golden color.
s - chardonnay! some belgian yeast comes through but overwhelmingly chardonnay grapes from the barrel. if you had blind-folded me and waved this beer under my nose i would have said it isn't beer but wine.
t - oakey, belgian, spicy with a chardonnay grape finish.
m - medium and slick.
o - quite and interesting take on a saison because of the influence the barrel has in it. pleasant beer.
