another new seasonal from bonfire. this one is pretty solid, a nice copper colored lager loaded with fresh german malts and a pretty solid hop profile, above average for the style. the beer is crystal clear and looks the part with a nice tall white frothy head, although i must confess im having this one in a globe not a stein. the nose is true to style, basic, sweet german malt and a very autumn feel to it. the hops come out in the flavor, more then just bitterness too. a straw dried grassy complexion to them, with just enough bitterness to make the finish balanced. i could drink a whole load of this in the right context. only moderately filling and it has great carbonation. overall one of the better recent seasonals from these guys.
