Cool little place 3 or 4 miles north of Eagle Nest, the garage holds 6 with 4 tables inside, nice outside seating area but not on a cold day like today.

I swing by every time i'm in Angel Fire to down a few pints and grab a growler.
The owner is a soft spoken man that will gladly chat with you about his brewing process as well as be your bartender and pour your pints and growlers.
The Homestead Amber Ale seems to be the favorite locally and is the only beer that's bottled and available in Eagles Nest and Angel Fire.
On my most recent trip he had a light and crisp Rasberry Wheat beer on tap as well as a tasty Porter.
There are seats and tables, made of logs and tree stumps, available in this outside only venue.
Music was provded by two fine local musicians on my last visit.
PROS - Great view of the mountains in this rustic setting. Tasty brews. Comfy, casual environment.
CONS - High altitude cooking/baking offers a new set of challenges for chefs. No difference for brewmasters. Carbination is a problem with high altitude brewing (CCB is about 8300 feet above sea level), and I find Commanche Creek Brews to be slightly under carbinated.

The setting is unbeatable!--It's not the easiest place to get to, being two miles down a dirt road, but worth the trek just outside Eagle Nest. Your bar is just the front porch of the brewery! This place was built by the great-grandfather of Kody-the now brewer in the cabin. There are some seats and tables made of old logs. A very rustic feel fits the location. He keeps 3 beers on tap at all times with seasonals added in. There is typically a Pale Ale, an IPA, and an Amber(he also bottles the amber). All exceptional beers! No other brewery like it, Seek it out!!!
