355 ml can into a tulip glass
L- garnet coloured, hazy, pours an off-white creamy head about 1cm thick with good retention
S - dominanted by pine and roasted malt, with a dash of spices (pepper and tumeric), and moist wood
T - roaated and biscuit malts upfront , toffee in the middle. resin hop bitterness thoroughout, but with a strong, grainy taste towards finish (mixed with a dash of mandarin)
M - well carbonated, medium bodied, slick texture for a pale ale,
F - decent beer, like a very hoppy vienna or amber. Good for a winter beer when the ambers and stouts become tiresome, but an APA is too summery.

Pours dark amber with a fading head.
Nose shows some spicy and grapefruit-like hops along with a grainy malt character.
Flavours include straw, popcorn, spicy hops, grainy malt and herbal notes. Pretty weird stuff there, a couple of big off-flavours.

Oops...
Didn't check what style this was and drinking immediately after a Riverside 44 doesn't help the cause.
A - deep red, short lived head. Minimal lacing.
S - muted, earthy dry hop driven.
T - also, quite earthy and dry, more English IPA style than American Amber. Toffee dominant. Malt balance and dry finish.
M - lightly carbonated and light to medium weight. Given relatively ABV, no hint of that.
O - more OK than anything else. Was expecting more zest and freshness given can.
