Our flagship wheat ale with loads of strawberries added. Gently tangy from the real strawberry puree, not overly sweet, and medium in body. Drinks fruitier than regular Canebrake and pairs perfectly with crawfish.

From the can, the pour is a light amber color. The taste is strawberry, cane sugar, & wheat. Cheers! B

Pours orangey amber color, ever so slightly hazy, decent off-white head and lacing. Smell and taste are average, strawberry is very light. I like the low carbonation. Overall very average and enjoyable.

Very easy drinkable and not overtly aggressive on the strawberry. Unlike a lot of wheat ales this one has a really good mouthfeel and finish. Quite well done for what they were trying to achieve with this

12 oz bottle, freshest I could find, 1/26/21, into Crooked Stave Willie.
Has the wheat-y color of Canebrake with a slight peach tinge. Head is tall and 2 fingers leaving looped lacing.
Aroma from the bottle is the stiff wheat cracker of regular Canebrake, perhaps with a pleasant aroma of strawberry daiquiri seagrams. From the glass I get hints of tart strawberry mini wheats, and more stiff wheat cracker.
Flavor is far less impressive than expected. It lacks the "thing" that makes regular Canebrake different from other bland wheat ales, substituting an odd, semi-sweet perfumey, fake-bready strawberry mini pop tarts quality instead. That was a mouthful. The finish though is quite pleasant. It stays on the palate forever and gives you some nice strawberry wheat breath.
Feel is refreshing but not clean, leaving the signature CB cane stickiness on the tongue and cheeks. Carbonation is softer than expected and that's just fine, and is light to medium bodied.
Overall a quaffable beer that doesn't really offer anything above the regular Canebrake - and in fact I think it's a little inferior to it. I've had several Canebrakes at various dives and boat launches since I got here, I'm plum sick of it already, and this one just compounds that issue. I'm sure it kills on a 90+ degree hot LA day in August though.

I was unfortunately underwhelmed...
Expecting a more strawberry flavor, I really couldn't taste any strawberry. So, what you're left with is a wheat ale, and at that, it was surprisingly bland. The one good thing is that it's sessionable and light, and would work well as a beach or our-fishing beer.

Strawberry Canebrake has a thick, white head, an initially clear, bubbly, gold, which clouds up, following the "swish & pour". The nose is bread & strawberries. The flavor is similar, w/the bread taking the lead. Bitterness is low, and there is some sugar. The body is full, and Strawberry Canebrake finishes mostly dry.
