Our spring seasonal Bloom but with double the hops, double the juice. A juicy, soft, hazy IPA absolutely loaded with Simcoe, Citra, and Nugget hops.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 8/16/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.7%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; awesomely soft feel. Awesome Simcoe, Citra, Nugget profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering bitter dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. No complaints.

Bottled on 5/17/18. Interested to see how it’s held up.
Color is nice, a hazy gold with frothy lace that bubbles up over two fingers. Spotty islands of lace stick around as the head fizzles out.
Dank, citrusy nose with a slight malty presence that may have increased over its few months since being bottled. The aromas get more tropical as the beer warms.
Starts out bitter, the hops hit hard but are immediately chased by overripe mango, pineapple, and a tangerine flavor in the finish. Good balance, slightly bitter aftertaste, but very very good.
The weight is a tad thin, with a high carbonation that compliments the hoppy bitterness in the flavors. Juicy, refreshing.

I had this about 2 months past the "bottled on" date and after a long day of drinking different beers and bourbons, and much preferred regular Bloom, but I'm guessing it was better fresh because it was ranked #5 in Paste magazines blind taste test among hundreds of IPA's including many traditionally considered "the best" like TH Green & Alchemist Focal Banger. Or maybe the regular Bloom would have scored even higher had it been in the contest instead? I would like to try again fresh, and on a fresh palate.
