On-draught at the brewery.
Reminiscent of Vietnamese coffee, this remarkable stout boasts some of the most genuine tasting true vanilla bean flavours I've encountered in a long time. The coffee does take a backseat to the vanilla, but the faint chicory roast plays into it subtly, lending added complexity to the brew. Its dark malt/chocolate malt one-two punch is expected but welcome.
More coffee flavour, more distinctive coffee, and more roast is needed to really boost this one up to a real contender, but the vanilla in this is wonderful and its soft silky mouthfeel is the stuff of heaven.
A must try when in Louisiana.
