A blend of double barrel aged imperial stouts and the culmination of ten years of obsessing over the brewing, aging, and adjuncting of well-made beer. Barrel aged for a year and then transferred again into freshly dumped spirits barrels to age additional months atop a blend of whole vanilla beans, Decade One is a showcase of the brands and techniques that have forged our barrel program.

Bottle. Black color. Legs. Tan head.
Fudge, caramel, chocolate cake, bakers cocoa, warming oak, bourbon, vanilla.
Full bodied. Tastes like non adjunct ba stout as the vanilla beans don’t overwhelm.

Decade One leads with a nose of brown sugar and bourbon. Has a flavor of brown sugar and follows up with coffee, horehound candy, caramel, and booze. Creamy and Uber hot, buzzing carbonation, slick, sticky, roasted. Black in color, fingernail of head. Overall a fantastic beer but not worth its bottle price. Bring back the Imperial Reserve. Nothing topped it in my book. Nothing.

Poured thicker than I was expecting, but not sludge. Amazing vanilla and port barrel notes. Super roasty, dark chocolate finish that becomes smoky brandy as it warms. Great stuff.

Was lucky enough to snag this beer during the online release. This beer is very barrel forward and has a great, drinkable body. Came in a pretty cool box too. If you haven't tried this yet, definitely put out your ISOs because Parish never fails to make a decadent beer.
