Presenting Gentilly Cake Cappuccino Fudge! To craft this delicacy, we let our imperial stout base age approximately three years in a mix of Buffalo Trace and Henry McKenna 10-year bourbon barrels, the bourbon barrel chrysalis stage gives the beer a deep richness reminiscent of slowly-caramelized sugar. From there, instead of adding the traditional Gentilly Cake fruits that we’ve done in past years, this batch came to rest on a mound of cocoa and fresh-roasted coffee beans, creating a decadently fudgy beer with all the pick-me-up of a freshly-steamed cappuccino.
