DIPA with Maui Nelson and Moteuka Hop Kief, Nectaron and Citra

Our latest double IPA is a collaboration with our good friends at @jesterkingbrewery. For those who aren’t familiar, their brewery is nestled on a ranch outside of Austin, Texas, where you can sip craft beer and take a stroll through a goat pen that is home to a herd of 75 Nigerian Dwarf goats. Inspired by these spirited little creatures, we proudly present Goats in the Machine! Together we brainstormed a new form of Ghost, using new hop products Maui Nelson and Motueka Hop Kief from New Zealand. This tropical aroma exclamation point is added to an already saturated dry-hop of Cryo Citra and Nectaron

Can dated 6/2/25

Pours a vibrant orange with half a finger of foamy head that quickly disappears. Pockets of lacing. Nose is prominent orange citrus which dominates everything else--by look and nose alone, I'd guess this is straight OJ. Taste, while orange-heavy, introduces some grapefruit bitterness. Mouthfeel is low-to-medium body, prickly carbonation. Finish is lingering bitterness.

Hazy grapefruit juice. Big tropical fruity hop aroma and flavor; stonefruit and melony notes with light resinous character. Good balance with light bitterness. Medium bodied and fairly smooth.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, white foamy head slowly subsides, leaving a thin layer. Fruity aroma, citrusy notes but leaning hard on tropical esters. Taste is soft and juicy, grapefruit peel, zesty. Creamy feel .

16 ounce can - $5.50 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.

"MANIFESTED 06/02/25"

Appearance: Pours a nigh-opaque, yellowy-orange body with an initially well-frothed, lace-inducing, white head.

Smell: That almost food processor maelstrom of unmalted grains, tropical albeit citrus-leaning hop fruity notes with a dollop of something akin to a dairy product inoculating with a culture of some kind.

Taste: An opening of that oh-so contemporary schtew tasting of rustic, coarse grains. In comes some lemon-lime, a tropical pineapple, melony touch. Relatively soft bitterness. After this, the flavor takes a turn back towards the coarse grains, final fruits, but also a hint of sourish crème fraiche.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Strays towards heft of body and warming alcohol territories.

Overall: Surprisingly, I did care for it all that much.

Wanted this to be amazing. I adore both of these breweries. Off flavors galore in here. Bitter in a lot of weird odd ways. Really bummed. Not undrinkable, but overall, unpleasant.

Pale, cloudy orange in color with a thing white head. Nose citrus and maybe peaches? Taste was certainly citrus with a white pepper finish and slight bitterness. Sweetness builds across the palate as the bitterness fades.
