This German-style hybrid beer is brewed with pumpkin and a hint of cinnamon, fermented with ale yeast, and lagered for a crisp finish. The Lantern has dark, bready notes and a spicy hop character making it the perfect fall beer.
Flavor Profile: Medium-to-full body, with a hint of sweetness from the pumpkin, flavor depth from the malt, spice notes from the cinnamon, and a warming but crisp finish.

It's very Cinnamon forward with a strong after taste. It's very bitter. It's not among my favorite pumpkin beers and I don't think I'd buy it again. Very disappointed here.
Update: After drinking a couple more of these I'm having to downgrade this. This beer is just not it. The flavors do not mix well.

AROMA: Mildly sweet with moderate scents of pumpkin followed by light scents of warming spices (cinnamon and allspice) and alcohol. Overall, I'm finding the aroma very pleasing, as the scent-levels are at a level that they are easily detectable, yet doesn't overwhelm. Additionally, it doesn't smell like a pumpkin-pie-in-a-bottle. Which, for a pumpkin beer, is a plus in my book.
APPEARANCE: Pours a transparent dark, golden brown with an incredibly tall (i.e. 5-finger) head whose froth is of medium coarseness and dissipates very slowly with excellent lacing.
TASTE: The first sip is much sweeter than the nose predicted. Additionally, the predominant flavor is cinnamon followed by mild flavors of pumpkin. Again, exactly opposite of what the aromas told me to expect. The finish has a fair amount of "sharpness" (which I find odd for a sweet beer) with more of that cinnamon flavor.
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-bodied with a mostly smooth texture that has a bit of dryness during the finish. I would rate carbonation as average. Texture-wise it's not bad. But if I had my druthers, I would prefer just a little more fullness in the body so that it was squarely in the middle of the medium-body range. Right now, it is on the thin/medium body border.
OVERALL: I enjoyed the aroma and appearance of this beer. However, the taste is where I had the biggest issue. For me, it is too sweet and doesn't showcase the pumpkin. The sweetness and cinnamon just overwhelm the pumpkin to the point that it is barely detectable. If it says "Pumpkin Ale" on the can, then pumpkin better be the main attraction. In this case, it is not.

The pour is orange colored. The taste is pumpkin, clove, & a hint of ginger. Moreover, this beer drinks smooth for an 8.5% abv. Cheers! B

Superb pumpkin brew - from its bright orange look to its sweet pumpkin smelling scent, it was a joy to partake of this offering. I also noted a crisp mouthfeel and the touch of booziness in the tongue you get to feel real good afterwards. Go gotcha some...
