Off tap at the brewery this beer was a classic, clear, copper color. The retention of the beige collar was good and it left spots of lacing down my glass. The aroma was of toasted malt, a little pale malt and hints of floral hops. The flavors were fine but very mediocre. Just an average blend of dry caramel malt, pale malt, hints of toasted nuts and a little hoppy bitterness. Similar to the Imperial Stout of theirs that I tasted, this beer had a distinct hombrew-like quality to it as though it had come from an extract. The body was medium, the carbonation appropriate and the mouthfeel average.
