Bottle date: unk

A: pours a yellow ale with no head and near excellent clarity. No lace. Meh.

S: Smells mostly of butter and corn. Not much else. No hops. Some sweet malt I guess, but I feel like I'm stretching it.

T: Tastes like the smell I recall from my grandpa when he drank upwards of two cases of ranier daily. Not good. A sweet, chemical flavor with some slight grassy tones.

M: Thin and slightly carbonated. Needs much more carbonation.

O: Nope.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass.

Appearance: slightly hazy light straw color with a very thin layer of white foam. Nothing special here.

Smell: light, grainy malt aroma without much story to tell. Not my favorite, but not particularly bad.

Taste: quite grainy and somewhat corny flavor. Not much in the way of hops here, either. The more I drink, the more prominent the cooked corn becomes -- kind of like a can of Green Giant creamed corn. Not at all what I like.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation. Not too bad.

Overall: the more I drink of this, the less drinkable it becomes. I absolutely hate to drain-pour a beer, but this might get there. It's just too darn corny.

Served in straight pint glass in the breweries tasting room. Poured a very clean, very clear, sharp golden yellow with about a half-inch of white head that had good retention and lacing. The beer actually had the appearance of a nice Pilsener.

The beer had a very pleasant grain scent, with just enough gentle hopping to pique your interest. The flavors were very similar, solid grain, even hops.

The body was crisp and smooth. Drinkability was excellent, this would be the perfect chore beer. With a low ABV, you could drink these steadily all day and still be functioning.

Overall, a very nice first beer from this new brewery. A must try when you see it.
