Served in 12oz tulip. Poured a hazy dark orange color with about 1-1/4 inches (in a 12oz glass!) of just off-white head that had retention that was low side of moderate, but left lots of nice sticky lacing.
The aroma was a bit subdued (something of a surprise, as the brewer here is known for big, bold taste and aroma), but a nice balance of lightly sweet malts and some citrus hops. The taste was also a bit more subtle than I anticipated, the citrusy hops dominated the the mild undertones of the malt.
The body was nice and smooth, very even across the tongue, and had sharp, bitey finish. Drinkability was good, my glass was empty too quickly, but at $6 for 12oz, I'll be grabbing something else next round. Overall, a nice brew, worth trying if you see it.

Appearance. Pours a rich and very hazy amber-orange with half a finger of amber-tinted white head.
Smell. Big grapefruit (mostly) and some other mixed citrus fruits, a little grainy caramel malt and a bit of pine.
Taste. Citrus fruits, caramel malts (slightly smokey ??), a bit of ganj, and bitter citrus rinds in the finish.
Mouthfeel. Medium+ body, medium carbonation.
Overall. A fine IPA that threw me off a little with the faint smoke I was picking up in the taste. Good stuff nonetheless.
