Not the best "triple" IPA out there but it certainly holds its own. Piney aroma but can't pick up on much else. The taste is not that balanced as the high alcohol volume (11%) overpowers any subtleties that may otherwise have been present. I'd like it to be hoppier with some more citrus.

A very good but not quite exceptional "triple" IPA.

Well balanced Triple IPA clocking in at 11%ABV
Nothing that's gonna knock your socks off with the focus being more on your Classic grapefruit hops, and candied oranges as expected at this high ABV. Add a solid dose of Pine and there you go. All of this while light on the malt bill and dry finish. Not overly malty sweet and cloying as so many of this style can be. 11% almost nowhere to be found and drinks closer to 9%ABV.
Recommended.

On tap at Newhall Refinery in Newhall, CA.
Pours a clear golden-orange with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and grapefruit juice aromas. Taste is much the same with candied citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and slight pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and sticky mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid citrus forward hop qualities that are slightly better in the smell to me.
Serving type: on tap.

Big but pretty well made triple IPA. Doesn't have a huge malt presence, though it's slightly warming and does feel hefty. Hops lean toward the classic American citrusy-grapefruit side of things. Finishes fairly dry.
