Continuum is a traditional German-Style 12ËšPlato Pilsner brewed using traditional ingredients. Starting with a blank water profile, we were able to emulate a soft continental European water character. This helps to accentuate a soft and round hop character while reducing perceived bitterness of the German tradition and Czech Saaz Hops. To add more backbone to the malt character, we run a 3-hour boil (Maillard Reaction) to caramelize and accentuate the German Pilsner malt which has a round and slightly bready mouth feel compared to US 2-row barley commonly found in most ale. This is a West Coast-brewed traditional German-Style Pilsner to enjoy as time flies.

Looks, smells, and feels quite like a classic German pilsner, just tastes a little off and a little too bitter. Cheers!

Clear yellow colored beer with a small white colored head.

Smells of cracker malt and noble hops. Scents of lemon and herbs.

Starts out mildly sweet and a bit malty. Tastes of hay and mild bitterness. Distinctlt Grassy.

Mouthfeel is good.

Pretty decent local pilsner.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a goblet.
A: slightly hazy yellow, thick white head, mild lacing
S: lemony hops (like lemon Pledge), yeast, a little piney or turpentine
T: lemony citrus hops, pine, a bit of yeast, grain, mild hops bitterness
M: medium thin, slightly foamy, not too much carbonation
O: very good ale, I don't really know pilsners, but it is enjoyable with mild to moderate bitterness.

Quite long-lasting foam and lacing in the tall Weizenbier glass. Attractive golden color. Light and lemony. Slight grainy flavor. Pleasantly flowery and lemon scented.

Quite bitter with a bold resiny hop flavor. A pleasant gulp for of no distinction, except the excessive bitterness. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bottlecraft in San Diego.

Pours a clear golden-orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, cracker, earth, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain, corn flake, earth, and slight fruit flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and easy to drink, but the bitterness is fairly assertive for the style.

Serving type: bottle.
