Poured into a snifter/tulip/wine hybrid glass from a 22 oz bottle
A - Orange with a copper hue half finger bright white head and little to no lacing
S - Very bready yeast, very musky, lots of earth, citrus fruit, citrus flowers, toasted malts/grains, sour funk, slight grass, crisp water and a neat sour/hop note that melds well.
T - Right off the bat it hits you with a hoppy citrus fruit like sour, sugar, quite acidic, huge citrus hop, nice bright sour yeast notes, citrus rinds, light wheat, sweet yet dry grains/malts, the floral note on the nose is palatable.
M - Medium minus body, nice balance, nice complexity, medium plus acidity, medium to medium minus carbonation and sour/yeasty/citrus/hoppy ride from beginning to end.
D/O - Man, was given so many few-worded-oral-reviews before I cracked this one open. From eh to awesome. Once home I popped open and bottle and fond my self pleasantly surprised. I am a huge fan of sours and a huge fan of IPA's. Now, this one leans toward the former, but still has enough IPA style notes (citrus/floral) to cement the name and genre. On top of the the flavor, refreshment and ease of drink make it all the better. A style that goes best with spring/summer and BBQ/Burgers but, can also be enjoyed when and with whatever. As a person who isn't a big fan of Tap It (sorry) this one makes me a fan of at least one of their beers. Well done, Folks!
Final thoughts - The ABV for this style is awesome at nearly 7%. Don't age this one, drink fresh and definitely give this one a try with an open mind.
