On tap at the brewery. Served in a pilsner glass.
Appearance - Clear golden body. Nice white head. Lasts a while.
Smell - Pale and pilsner malts. Grassy malts. The slightest hint of phenolic bubble gum.
Taste - Light citrus zest. Grassy and earthy hops. Less intense on the malt, but the pilsnermalt flavor lingers in the finish. Mild hop bite.
Mouthfeel - Medium light. Moderate bitterness.
Overall - It's a little too malty for me, but every other aspect is nice.

your classic german pils, and a very good one, authentic, and true to style, not over americanized, as some of these tend to be. its got a little more color and body to it, goldenrod, clear, and with racing bubbles that cant get to the surface fast enough, and they smash into a pillowy bone white head that lasts awhile. it smells and tastes like it should, old world hops, big fresh grain, german lager yeast, its all there. fresh is the key word here, no oxidation at all, very clean finishing, and without some of that boggy dusty grain character you sometimes get in imported versions. as simple as it is, its also really well done, and one of the better tequesta beers i tried. my parents both agreed this was the winnet at tequesta, and while its a little basic for my palate, i have great respect for any brewery that can execute one of these this well.
