On tap at the brewery. Served in a goblet.
Appearance - Hazy deep orange body. Small white head settles to a very thin collar. Floating island migrates around.
Smell - Oak and acidity are most prominent. Lots of oaky vanilla. White wine. Some grainy malt. Not exceptionally fruity. A little earthy and bretty. In the back there's a bit of watermelon fruitiness. It should be said that I haven't a clue what a jackfruit is.
Taste - Moderate sourness. Light tropical fruitiness. Not the watermelon I smelled. More rich oak and vanilla. Pale malt balances the sourness. Winey finish.
Mouthfeel - Moderately sour. Medium body. Tastes heavier than I expected.
Overall - I'm very impressed. Not a lot of fruit in it, but this is an excellent sour.
