On tap at the brewery. Served in a goblet.
Appearance - Deep brown and a little reddish. Medium off white head.
Smell - Roasted malt. Really nice oak and barrel character. Vanilla is strong. Earthy yeast and a little dark fruit acidity.
Taste - Roasted malts up front. Very toasty. Cherry flavor is light. Lends itself to the sourness. Roasted malt persists throughout and adds a bitterness to the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light. Moderate sourness. A little too bitter and kinda drops off in the back end.
Overall - I didn't expect this to be that good. It's Terminally Ale with Flanders yeast and cherries, which really didn't strike me as appealing. I shouldn't underestimate Tequesta's sour program. Everything has been spot on so far.
