Poured from a growler into a pint glass.

Appearance - Clear amber body with a decent white head, but it's gone quickly. A bit of lacing on top and a ring of foam around the meniscus.

Smell - Malty goodness. Fruit and caramel at the same time. A little of a spicy character also and maybe some booze.

Taste - Like the smell, it's malt-forward with fruit and caramel being the predominant flavors. The flavor of the honey gives it the bright, fruity flavor. It finishes dry with a spiciness, presumably also from the honey additions.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied and medium carbonation. No alcohol flavor in the taste. The dry finish from the honey makes it go down easily.

Overall - Love having a great local brewery a 3 minute walk from my house. This is the best be Tequesta Brewing has made. Delicious and complex and, despite that I am not a bock drinker, it's one of the best bocks I've had.

Poured out of a growler.

A – This poured a dark honey amber color. One finger of stark white, bubbly head that receded fairly quickly. Not too much lacing at all.

S – You can smell the honey right off the bat as it leaves a nice sweet smell. Malts come through in the nose as well.

T – Roasty malts and that tupelo honey come right away with the first tastes. Malts shine through first and are finished with the sweetness of the honey. Has somewhat of a nutty taste as well and finishes with just a small amount of bitterness. The honey lingers at the end as well. Really interesting flavor. The ABV is not apparent in this at all.

M – Creamy and light to medium mouthfeel. Has a medium amount of carbonation.

O – Very nice bock. I loved the honey flavor. Its not overwhelming and has a great natural taste to it. Very nice drinker.

*reviewer is a total homer for TBC beers. He suggests strongly you buy some for yourself and try them.
