On tap at the brewery. Served in a pint glass.
Appearance - Hazy orange with a medium white head. Medium retention duration, but great lacing.
Smell - Emphasis on orange citrus hop aroma. Very citrusy. Hardly any sweetness but hints at a grainy malt.
Taste - Orange peel hop flavor. Peachy. Grainy malt, characteristic of the brewery's pale ales. Moderate bitterness, but very little by way of residual sugars.
Mouthfeel - It avoids the sweetness pitfall, but it's really grainy. It accentuates the bitterness.
Overall - The flavor gets better every time I have this beer. The grain bill isn't my favorite though. Unrefined, for lack of a better descriptor.

Poured out of a growler into my tulip glass.
A – Poured out a light honey amber color. Nice big foamy two finger head. Good lacing on this one.
S – Nice citrusy grapefruit, pineapple, evergreen.
T – Very nice balance between the citrusy grapefruit taste and pine with some smooth fruit flavor almost like a papaya. I got a tiny bit of what tastes like honey in there that gives it a hint of sweetness. Finishes with a nice long bitterness that just hovers on the palate.
M – Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Creamy and damn smooth. Tad bit drying. Where the heck is the 8.7 ABV?
O – This is dangerously drinkable at that ABV. It’s a total package DIPA. Crazy good.
* Reviewer is a total homer for TBC and Matt’s brews. He strongly suggests you get some and try it for yourself. Go now. Seriously.
