Poured from a growler into a tulip.
Appearance - Deep amber body with a nice off-white head. Leaves decent lacing for a while. It's a bit murky when cold, but clears up as it warms.
Smell - Pine hops with some citrus in the background. Behind that is some toasty malt.
Taste - Great balance for an imperial red ale. Pine hops predominantly, like the aroma. Biscuit malt flavor behind it. The aftertaste has some burnt notes to the bitterness.
Mouthfeel - Good carbonation. A bit oily, but otherwise not too thick or thin. Hides the ABV well.
Overall - I'm impressed. It's a solid imperial red. I thought it would be sweet as hell, but it isn't. Great hop presence and a body to back it up.

Poured out of a growler gotten from TBC at first release of this beer. Poured into my Duvel tulip.
A - Pours out a reddish ruby brown with one finger of bubbly white head. Sticky lacing all down the glass.
S – Nice hoppy smell with bitterness in the nose. Citrus as well.
T – Great big hoppy and malty taste right up front. Damn tasty. Grapefruit rolls through to give it that nice citrusy bite. Caramel gives this just the faintest sweetness at the end. Super balance.
M – Medium bodied with good carbonation. Refreshing on the palate.
O – Love this beer. Super for a hot summer day. It’s clean, refreshing and well balanced throughout. Leaves you wanting more with each sip.
* Reviewer is a total homer for TBC. Matt brews great beer. Reviewer believes you should run to TBC and try for yourself. You will not be disappointed.
