Description- An easy drinking, yet very flavorful Blonde Ale. A good dose of Pilsner malt flavor is well balanced with the distinctive Bohemian Saaz hop aroma and subtle bitterness to finish off a great session beer. 40 IBU

Pours translucent golden in color, very much akin to Allagash White (though of an entirely different style). Head is modest, to say the least. I wasn't quite sure what to expect here, but suffice it to say I was disappointed. Neither hoppy, malty, or balanced in a way that I would describe as pleasing, this beer is simply there. I think I detected some citrus notes, but these were overpowered by the locker room essence that pervaded the beer. I wish I had better things to say about it, and I must admit I walked into the place with a positive bias, but I was left with little to work with as far as this brew was concerned. Hopefully LBBC has better offerings on the horizon.

On-tap today at the brewpub. Listed as 38 IBU, fairly bitter for a golden ale.
Bright gold with racing streams of carbonation, and drippy arcs of lace in the glass. Head retention was ok, there was a thin veil across the surface the whole time.
Slightly grassy and bitter aroma, some crackery pils malt behind that. Very clean and fresh aroma.
Flavors were well integrated, crisp with dry saltine and honey malt notes, and a pleasant grassy bitterness from the Saaz. Effervescent crisp feel, light bodied. Some herbal and weedy elements in the background, but mainly this was a straightforward bitter session ale. Would have gotten a growler if it wasn't $20 with the glass...

Had a pint, then purchased a take home growler at the new LB Brew tap room in Lake Bluff, IL.
Pours a hazy cloudy golden color. Light foaming, settles out to a very thin layer.
Light nose, pils-y hop smell pokes through.
Very nice light malt balanced taste. Almost like a pils/ale blend. The hop is noticed at the end and contributes to the overall flavor.
Very nice brew - easiest drinker offered up right now at the brewery. Good session beer.
