Trying the new bottles that just came out. Unfortunately it's pretty diacetyl ridden, butterscotch aroma and taste. The hop bitterness cuts through, but it's still a pretty distracting flaw.

B/3.43
On tap today at the brewpub.
Dark gold, coppery orange. Bright clarity, completely transparent, likely filtered or clarified. Visible carbonation, feeding into a thin layer of white foam on top. Sticky collar around the edges, drippy lace all the way down the glass.
Floral hop aroma, some mild pale malt also. Fairly nondescript and typical for a pale ale, meant for mass appeal.
Flavors were similar, mild floral hop bitterness, some light bready pale malt notes. Body was light to medium, with ample carbonation. Overall decent to good, clean and crisp surely, just a bit predictable. As a "training wheels" craft beer it succeeds, as I saw several craft novices taking it for a test drive at the bar.
