Poured into pint glass during Portland Mighty Mites small beer festival~
Poured a nice straw/copper pale ale hue, good head fading into an okay lace, good carbonation level.
This is a clean and simple beer, a perfect low alcohol session style. There is a good waft of hops on the nose with a hefty backing of lightly roasted malts, some fruit hiding in there, but mostly 'fresh' and clean smell. Taste backs up nose with clean and well delineated flavors focused on the malts with some character from the yeast backing it up. Very fresh and clean again. Not overtly bitter, just a nice balance of acids with hops and alcohol present but in the background.
Overall this is an ideal session style ale. Simple, clean, enjoyable.
