Had this in the brewpub on nitro-tap. Was opaque brown, the color of chocolate milk, with a thick, dense tan head that stuck around and left tons of great lacing as it was consumed. Smell was a bit of roastedness, chocolate/coffee, and yeast, with a hint of vanilla on the back end. Taste followed, but in the opposite direction; hint of vanilla sweetness up front, pushed out by smooth, slightly watery-tasting malt, and then finishing off with bitter coffee and roasted flavors. Mouthfeel was creamy. Overall it wasn't like I was expecting, but I haven't had much experience with fresh and/or nitro-tap beer, so I could just not be used to it. Regardless, it was delicious!
