This is a mild Berliner Weisse. The sour and lemon tones are noticable, but do not overpower or hijack the beer. (For purists, it could probably stand to hijack things a little bit more.) There is a dominating grain profile which makes this seem like a pale ale mixed with a Berliner Weisse. Pretty decent. And definitely a good summer brew.

32oz growler care of Deuane. At the time of this review, there is not much info to go on regarding style and details of the brew. According to those more in the know than I, there have been 2 batches of this brewed so far with varying intensity and portion of sour mashing.

Poured into a thistle, the brew appears a pale golden yellow color with a white cap shy of a finger. It slowly fades leaving patches and strings of lace sticking to the glass.

The aroma includes minor suggestions of lemon and a fresh grainy feel a bit cereal-like with a soft touch of grass. Overall not a bad smelling brew, just a little on the mild side but nothing emitting from the glass seems out of place. It is clean and to the point.

The taste is mildly tart with a wheat/cereal grain sweetness to contrast that is quite fresh. Some hints of herbs like grass and faint lemony fruit quality.

This is a light bodied brew with a light amount of carbonation. It is a very easy drinking brew but on the more tame/mild side for a berliner. Having never heard of this brewery, I was appreciative to give them a shot. For a first attempt, this isnt bad but it could be kicked up a few more notches to fit more stylistically.
