12oz bottle; I got the chance to try this at a friend's party. Great opportunity to session!
A - amber pour with a creamy ivory head
S - citric orange and grapefruit with pine fill the nose along with some caramel malt
T - orange and grapefruit zest, earthy pine, caramel, and toasty grain
M - very light body, moderately carbonated, finishes semi-dry, bitter, and zesty
O - pretty good session IPA with plenty of flavor; it's just very lacking in body even though it is very sessionable at 3.9%. I understand the give and take there.

i like a session ipa thats actually sessionable, so many are still right around 5% abv and still rather weighty in their grain complexions, not this one. i love it being under 4% abv, makes it so easy to drink. its also awesomely dry and super charged in terms of carbonation, perfect for a hot and humid summer day in the midwest. that said though, the beer really is nothing special aside from its parameters. the hops arent all that interesting, seem to be under done, and the flavor of the beer is so light as to be almost watered down. this would never satisfy the true ipa drinker, and i think thats a mark against this beer, as so many in the style still would. i personally enjoyed its lightness, and found it to be a pleasurable change of pace, although i would certainly mess around with late kettle and dry hopping quantities and varietals to try and hit something that will make this jump out a little more.
