I only had room for one bottle in my luggage coming back from K.C. & this is one of the four I chose. Nothing was moving in there. 22 oz. bottle split with my wife as we watch the penultimate finale to Dirty Dancing. Again.
Orange, looks like agave juice, if I knew what that looked like. Nose of a fruity wheat beer with a whiff of tekillya. Not standard, at least.
D’Lila would be dangerous to anyone who puked up tequila in college (I’m still waiting for the dreaded jaegermeister barrel aged beer). Tequila piles on the beer like a sumo wrestler. 8.8% seems like a misprint. There’s a bit of beer under here: unseparated winter wheat chaff, honey, oranges. But let’s not beat around the H.W. Bush: this is all about the boozy barrel. Dry but easy to drink. I might drink my wife’s half, too, except I have to actually wake up before noon.
Interesting brew. If you likes tequila, drink. If nots, don’t. Pretty good beer.

22oz bottle. Poured out a hazy, amber color with a good-sized white head of foam. It smelled of tequila, yeastiness and wheat. Odd yeasty flavor with a strong tequila punch.

Pours a viscous amber color one or two bubbles float to the surface along with a pinky pearl colored head. Average head retention & below average lacing
S; Citrus & grassy notes, tea & tequila notes once warm
T: Follows the nose, sweet orange notes, bready notes, tannic tea notes & a little tequila twang up front. Oaky dryness, tequila notes, more tea bitter notes, limey citrus as well as this warms. Finishes dry, with tea, tequila notes & lime peel, a little doughy sweetness
MF: Medium bodied, firmly carbonated, smoothed out quite a bit when warm
Pretty refreshing for the ABV, all added additions play well with the base beer. This a pretty interesting beer that really works for this time of year. Well worth picking up & drinking now
