This was another beer that I picked up at the Walmart in Mount Vernon, Missouri when I was out that way a few months ago. Not the biggest fan of this style, but I wanted something to kick back with anytime and as much as this was generic, I was able to do that here as there was just enough here to hold my attention...

Golden, subtly translucent, and topped off with enough foam, the latter never fully settled down as this was capped off throughout my session. Thick and well-defined rings of lacing stuck around as I could easily see where I sipped down to each time, once I finished this off. Grass, grain, sweet malt, and bread were in the nose as the taste contained some apple, bready spice, and a touch of European hops. Slick, full-bodied, and a bit chewy in the back, this was a lovely session beer that wasn't deep, but was an easy improvement over any mass market example of the style.

Nearly impossible to discern any booze in this, as I could easily have reached for another after the last sip. No date was to be found anywhere, but this felt fresh as there wasn't any sediment in the liquid or overt skunk. Although this would be more fitting for a lazy summer day, this was nice enough to enjoy year round, which is thankfully the same as this offering's availability!

Slightly hazy light gold color with a small foamy white head that disappears quickly.

The aroma is light sweet malt with a touch of caramel and fresh cut grass.

The taste is sweet malt, fresh bread with light caramel and a grassy hops finish that makes a good balance.

Medium bodied and smooth, very drinkable.

Altogether a nice refreshing light beer without seeming overly "light".

From a twelve ounce aluminum can, this brew is a completely clear light yellow color. Small head and an appropriate sulfur and malt scent. Soft, flavorful. Very solid lager.

Ok, I am not the biggest Mother's fan to begin with. Don't get me wrong here, Mother's have churned out some REALLY good brew's. But let's tick to this review for Step Dude.

I get it REALLY fresh because I live within a mile of the brewery so I'm pretty lucky.

Smell > Wonderful smell of UBER FRESH malt and a very nice apple scent as well, think Granny Smith !!! And of course some German Noble hop's shinning through !!!

The taste is really good. It is a rich and creamy Lager . Start's out with it's Malty / hoppy tug of war going on and upon the finnish it get's a really rich and well balanced feel.

I think this is a wonderful example of the German Helle's style Lager's . Probably one of their best effort's to date.

Poured from a bottle. Really light in color with a small white head. Smells of malt and sweet bread. Flavors of bread and malt, very pleasant good beer. Body feels more full than most beers of this style.

Not a light lager fan, but the brewer was here and he bought. As far as the style goes it’s perfect and probably the first light lager I’ve had in perhaps 10 years. Like I said not a fan of the style but this one actually tastes like a heavier lager and not horse piss. Bravo, Mother’s Brewing.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of caramel, grains and grasses. Sweet caramel taste. Minimal bitterness.
