Plum Baltic Porter - Collaboration with Ale Browar.
Black, with two fingers of cappuccino colored foam, beautiful.
Relatively light smell, toasted, woody, and plums.
In the taste toasted malt, again plum, raisins.
Bur, overall, not totally convincing. Some almost salty.
Quite sweet.

Brewfist "Baltic Freak"
on tap at Ma Che Siete Venuti Afa, Roma, Italia on 1 December 2015
Notes: Collaboration with Ale Browar. Deep-mahogany (almost black) body beneath a full head of creamy, dark tan froth. The head retention is average for the style, perhaps even a bit better, and the lacing goes beyond that, leaving rings of thin lace and then some pretty nice runs of spots and splashes behind. The nose is moderately roasty and chocolatey with some yeasty fruitiness of dark fruit (plum) and berries, and an edge of alcohol. In the mouth it's medium bodied and creamy smooth. The flavor delivers roastiness, dark chocolate, caramel, fruit, and background alcohol. A median bitterness anchors it, and it finishes dry with a spritz of alcohol. Some cereal grain maltiness, a touch of dark cocoa, some mild dark fruitiness, and a wash of alcohol linger.
