A real, revolutionary lager dedicated to the passion for cycling, a deeply-rooted sport in our land, the plain of the River Po. Golden and bright, its aroma recalls honey beehives, mowed wheat and spicy hops. Its body is full, with a bitter finish. We reccommend it before, during and after sports activities.

Felt like giving it a try but this one was a miss.
The only thing I liked about this brew was its color. Deep orange gold.
The aroma was practically amiss.
The taste was decidedly honey orange.
There was no hop bite or elegant Euro bitterness at all.
The body reminded me of some Kölsches.
Not a great beer, not a good lager, nothing revolutionary about it.
Meh

A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a finger high frothy white head that has excellent retention properties and hardly died down.
S: Light to moderate aromas of honey, spices, and wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste is dominated by flavors of raw wheat and grainy malts and has notes of spicy hops and hints of honey. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This pilsener definitely smells and tastes more rustic compared to other beers in the style, particularly with its chewy mouthfeel.

a sturdy and well made lager, i wonder about its freshness coming over from europe, but that is always the case with beer from brewfist, they just dont seem to travel all that well, maybe its how they are handled by various distribution arms, but their beer just always has this light staleness to it when i have it in the states. in any event, this is a rustic lager, unfiltered on the pour with a little haze clouding the bright gold in the bottom inch of the bottle, and it holds an inch of white head really well. lots of bubbles, a light floral hoppy nose, and more grain heft than i am used to in the style, really pretty sturdy feeling as i take my first sip. slightly toasted bread or crackers to the malt, a little honey sweetness in the middle but dried out by the end, a slight oxidation, and enough hop bitterness to balance but also a little grassy freshness there. i like how much of the yeast character i get here and how its different from other euro lagers here, more flavorful and carried on by this bigger grain base. refreshing but also substantial, i would really like to try this one fresher or closer to the source, but its obvious they have a well built classic pale lager here. good stuff and fairly priced for an italian beer!
edit: a little different from the can than i recall from the bottle, lighter looking, more consistent, maybe cleaner, but with less head and less head retention, the hops seems a little less punchy, and the grain a little more obviously pils-like and less structurally dynamic, when lends to increased drinkability but maybe a little less intrigue, nice minerality and water character though, and overall excellent balance and quality, wish i had better access to their beers, ive dug the handful ive had!

11.2 oz. bottle
Pours hazy gold with a large creamy white foam head. Smells like juicy apples, ripe pear, fresh berries, lemony citrus, grape, malty golden grains, some spice, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Tastes like tart apples, pear, berry, lemon rind, grape, pale malty grains, minty tobacco spice, with floral earthy herbal grassy pine. Feels medium-light bodied, creamy with moderate smooth carbonation. Overall a nice lager.
