Imperial Stout aged for 16 months in Martinique Rhum barrels with cocoa beans.
Total black. An evanescent veil of light brown foam.
In the smell rhum, quite a lot. Intense and boozy. Then cocoa, and even raisins.
Roasty notes in the taste, then rhum, liquorice, cane sugar, raisins, plums. Vanilla.
Herbal hints of artichoke. And a lot of cocoa.
Smooth and long. Alocholic notes in the aftertaste, with rhum.
An important beer, but, in its kind, well balanced.
