Brown bottle from the local beer store. This one pours a completely black and thick liquid with a brownish head (think chocolate milk). The aroma is intense...molasses, smokey malts, woody notes, coffee and chocolate. I get the alcohol in the aroma. The taste is sweet and full of smoky, malty, roasty flavors. Full, satiny, and satisfying in body. Wow.

From the 330 ml bottle in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours a dark
and murky blackish brown with dark tea highlights and a moderate head of
tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and sports some faint
lacing with decent legs. Nose of chocolate, coffee, and mellow bourbon
dashed with light oak and vanilla. Flavors hit the mark with bourbon, oak,
vanilla, coffee, chocolate, moderate char, deep roast, dark berry notes of
blackberry and blueberry, and a hint of cream. Mouthfeel is full, smooth,
rich, coating, light carbonation, and finishing faintly dry.

Overall, a solid brew from a solid little brewery!

Cheers

L: Pours a dark chocolate brown, forming a very thin espresso head that fades quickly. There is a faint swirl of foam and a thin ring of lacing around the edge of the snifter. Held to the light, this beer has a dark umber, near-black, opaque hue.

S: Heavy aromas of rye whiskey, oak, coffee roast, and cacao nibs. Faint malt and vanilla.

T: Follows the nose. Rye, oak, coffee, and roasted malts. Faint smokiness and char. Mellows out somewhat with dark chocolate and vanilla, and a trace of something sweeter like dark fruit.

F: Medium-bodied. Smoothy, creamy mouthfeel with light carbonation.

O: Good coffee stout. The body was a bit underwhelming, but is compensated by good flavors and aromas. Decadent look on the pour, and it did not disappoint. Worth a purchase as a late-night sipper.

330 ml bottle, bottle date of 31.12.30. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. Aroma is nice, it smells mostly like coffee along with some roasted malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and some whiskey. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark bread and oaky flavors noticeable too. As with the aroma, I think the coffee stands out but without overpowering the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. If you like coffee stouts then I definitely recommend this one!
