This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This one smells like rum barrel, molasses, caramel, chocolate syrup, earthy spice, licorice, coffee candy, and honey.
This is appropriately intense. There's a lot of rum here, but it doesn't taste all that boozy luckily. The spice comes off mostly as earthy cinnamon, even though it's star anise and nutmeg. The Chaga mushrooms come off more like an earthy sweetness than actual discernible mushroom taste, which is fine with me. There's also a ton of concentrated coffee flavor, and loads of melted chocolate flavor.
This is super thick, super chewy, and a touch syrupy. It's definitely a slow sipper.
This is a big bruiser of a stout that works quite well for me.

Pours like pitch black used motor oil with the darkest dark brown head that I have ever seen that settles to a ring and leaves minimal lacing. Smells of rum, roasted malts and nutmeg. Taste is very rum forward, roasted and toasted malts, cocoa powder, dark chocolate, dark roast coffee, nutmeg, dark fruits, licorice and a flavor that I cannot place so I will assume it is the star anise that the beer is brewed with. Thick and chewy mouth feel, mild carbonation, heavy bodied, dry finish.
