16 oz can from Tavour. Dark golden/amber with creamy head. Thick and mealy. Dank hops and light fruity aroma. Taste is sweet malts, light citrus, and hops, not as much bitterness as you would expect. Mouthfeel is wonderful.

Mildly hazy body topped with a huge, billowy, white head; huge rings and globs of foam cling to the inside of the glass. Strong hop aroma; loaded with pine and citrus notes; pineapple. Fruity flavor with a mild grain base and well-hidden alcohol presence; slightly sweet; well-balanced bitterness. Heavy body; spongy yet crisp on the palate; some boozy warmth; semi-dry mouthfeel overall.

I'm a big fan of triple IPAs and looked forward to trying my first (as far as I recall) quadruple IPA. Anchorage has done an outstanding job in crafting this massive yet balanced and approachable big IPA. The flavors are bold but not in your face. They bring a nice fruity quality atop a soft and mellow grain base. Bitterness and alcohol presence are nicely blended and balanced, too. A superb beer.
