Pale, straw yellow body, crystal clear; plenty of fine carbonation; thick and sticky frothy white head. Nice floral and fruity aroma interspersed with some notes of malt sweetness. Excellent biscuit malt backbone speckled with some sweet white wine elements; a bit herbal; low-key hop bitterness initially, builds in intensity towards the finish. Medium body; semi-sweet mouthfeel but with a touch of dryness at the finish.
This beer does a respectable job in representing the kölsch style. It has an ale-like feel to it along with a herbal, vinous taste profile. Nicely balanced and reasonably complex.

16oz canned 11-26-19. Opened 2-23-20.
2 finger dense, pillow-y, and white head with great retention. Leaves patchy but thick lacing.
Pale gold/straw color, clean with a slightly unfiltered haze (not much).
Soft yeasty/doughy (sourdough twang) malt nose. Subtle spicy hops and a light apple fruitiness.
The fruity twang is more evident in the flavor with apple or grape notes, sourdough bread. Spicy and slightly herbal hops provide great balance.
Soft mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Medium to long finish with the herbal-ness of the hops lingering late.
Very good. Drinkability is high - this is a full-flavored Kolsch.

L: Peach gold hue on a mostly filtered brew. Dense two finger ivory head with outstanding retention and leaving splotches of lace behind.
S: Herbal, and a little floral and bready malts.
T: A robust Kölsch. Follows the nose with a very bitter hop finish. Nicely dry.
F: Medium weight - surprisingly more chewy than suggested by the ABV.
O: Bready and bitey - not for the faint of heart Kölsch-drinkers who are only looking for a light brew they can crush a few of.
