Crystal clear, golden yellow body; thick and frothy white head, sticky, rings and patches of foam adhere to the glass. Nice mineral and herbal scent. Beautiful malt backbone taste; cracker; semi-sweet; very light touch of esters; subtle hop bitterness. Medium body; lightly sweet and sticky on the palate; mild dryness.

A most delightful ale, relatively light yet very tasty.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 12/6/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light biscuit/toast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light biscuit/toast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light biscuit/toast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is an awesome hoppy Kolsch. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity yeast, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish; nicely soft and not overly aggressive. Awesome Citra, Galaxy, Motueka profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive hoppy style example as expected of the brewery.

16oz canned 12-6-19. Opened 3-7-20.
2 finger pillowy white head with 1/4" rising over the rim of the glass - great retention on an unfiltered straw yellow colored beer. Thick with fresh lacing.
Citrus orange hop aroma, slightly floral with pine and lemon oil.
Herbal hop attack with a light backing of citrus and late lemon. There's a light bready malt presence but this beer is without a doubt about the hops.
Light to medium bodied with very high carbonation.
Good. Not recognizable as a Kolsch.
